Pre-Employment Screening

For prospective employees, this assessment identifies the functional ability of the individual as it directly relates to the essential functions of a specific job description.

The screening includes range of motion assessment, non-material handling (bending, squatting, kneeling) and material handling (lifting, pushing and pulling, relative to a job specific weight range and frequency).

This micro-job simulation includes an assessment of and education in safe body mechanics and has the option of including a cardio-vascular assessment and urine drug screen.

Ergonomics and Job Analysis

These on-site analyses assess the physical design of the work station as well as critical physical demands and activities of the job to determine any needed modifications for safety, injury prevention and efficiency.

The modifications may include rearranging the work station (for a specific employee or in general), redesigning the physical functions of the job, instruction in safe work body mechanics, and evaluation of tools, equipment and adaptive devices.  Assistance in developing modified work accommodations can be provided.  A detailed report with recommendations is provided by the Certified Ergonomic Evaluator.

Safety Programs

These on-site programs inform employees and management about safe work practices and prevention of injury.  The trainings educate workers about the principles of proper posture, body mechanics and positioning.

The program is customized to the specific business and may include back injury prevention and spine stabilization, upper extremity and repetitive motion injury prevention, body mechanics for office and computer jobs, body mechanics for safe lifting and postural stretching and exercise education.

The “Train the Trainer” option of this program provides initial training and follow up training for supervisory and management staff to increase in-house expertise and monitoring of safe work practices.
